About the Festival
The first annual Borealis Music Festival was held on the August long weekend (July 31st – August 2nd) of 2015 in Kinsmen Park, the heart of Prince Albert. This is an exciting opportunity for national, provincial and local vendors, performers, sponsors and volunteers to join together to create a well-rooted and dynamic festival within the City of Prince Albert.
The area was traditionally known by the Cree people as ‘Kistapinanik’- “The gathering place” or “Sitting Pretty Place” and continues to be a gathering place for events and celebrations.
The Line-Up consisted of an array of multidisciplinary and multicultural acts. With an emphasis on Acadian, Saskatchewan and Aboriginal Talent – the Main Stage, Community Workshop Stage and Satellite After-Events are all guaranteed to be welcoming and an inclusive good time.
Shuttle service is available for patrons who are visiting or staying in Prince Albert, Waskesiu, Emma Lake, Christopher Lake and Candle Lake.
