In With The Old

Bluegrass, Folk, Old Time
Northern Saskatchewan’s In With The Old seamlessly combine raw talent and prairie comraderie with a passion and respect for the music from the past. Young and dedicated, they take a unique approach to memorable old-time music through gifted harmonies and infectious songwriting all told through a small town perspective.
Since their formation in 2013, they have entertained at many places including the the Ness Creek Festival, the Northern Lights Bluegrass Festival, the Pickers’ Cup, the John Arcand Fiddle Fest, the Exchange in Regina, and the Bon Temps Cafe and the Bassment in Saskatoon. They have also showcased at the Saskatchewan Country Music Awards, and played on Telemiracle twice. In July 2014, they released their debut CD, Rollin’ On Down The Plains and had a very successful release show. In February 2015 they headlined at the E.A Rawlinson Centre in Prince Albert.

Each member plays their own main instrument but often they will trade off and play each others’ instruments for a different dynamic. They are highly influenced by great traditional bluegrass and old-time artists like Bill Monroe and The Stanley Brothers, but also by many modern bands, ranging in style from rock to folk to indie pop. In With The Old has so much passion for their music. At their show, expect to see fiery-hot banjo licks, beautiful 3-part harmonies and have a heck of a great time!
